About the role:
The Boots Pharmacy Operations team - a dynamic team at the heart of Boots Pharmacy growth plans. Our mission is to make operations simpler for stores, better for customers and more valuable for Boots. Pharmacy operations comprises, field team, core operations and operations development.

Each group with their own portfolio of improvement and an active role in the project lifecycle of all healthcare projects which impact store operations.

We are seeking a dedicated Programme Manager to oversee multiple projects within our healthcare operations. This role is hands-on, requiring active involvement in various projects to ensure smooth execution and collaboration.

The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts, enabling them to focus on enhancing solution design and development.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Oversee and manage multiple healthcare operations projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination among project teams and stakeholders including regular project reporting
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure their focus on solution design and development.

What you'll need to have:

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience of healthcare and pharmacy systems and processes
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislative landscape in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare data for informed decisionmaking
