Job Summary
The Royal Free London Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy technician to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, training, and assessment of staff in the dispensary.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the staff and resources of the Outpatient Dispensary to provide a safe and efficient Pharmaceutical Service to patients and staff.
- Provide and coordinate pharmacy dispensary services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent Pharmacist to set objectives and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Train and assess staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Contribute to the development of the pharmacy team and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
Requirements
- BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences (NVQ Pharmacy services Level 3) or equivalent.
- CPPE or equivalent ACPT qualification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Medicines Management qualification or equivalent.
- Significant post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience.
- Broad technical pharmaceutical knowledge relating to the promotion of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Experience of writing SOPs.
- Previous assessable experience/understanding of JAC Pharmacy Computer System (or equivalent).
- Experience of training and supervision.
- Experience of project management.
- Evidence of work in an operational management capacity.
- Experience of medicines reconciliation.
