services to our clients. Our specialist Public Sector team provides
distinctive audit and advisory services across five sectors - local
government, central government, health and social care, education, housing and

About the role

  • As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will lead multiple audit engagements, overseeing and developing junior staff.
  • You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional service.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.
  • You will work closely with Senior leaders up to Partner level.

What are we looking for?

  • ACA CA ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Experience of leading external audits from planning through to completion.
  • Relevant public services sector audit experience.
  • Up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Experience of managing, training and coaching audit trainees.

This role can be based in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
Our Edinburgh office is in a striking, cosmopolitan city, Scotlands capital
is renowned for its beauty, history and culture. Its festivals have attracted
hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Edinburgh is also one of the
worlds top financial centres.
Our Edinburgh office is conveniently located
close to the city centre, right by Haymarket train and tram station, with easy
connections to the airport and Waverly train station. We have excellent
knowledge of the citys local business environment and its important role as
an international trading hub. This understanding, along with our global
resources and reach as an international accounting and advisory firm, means we
