Role Purpose:

Optimise Chetwood's use of data to drive business value and achieve its strategic goals. To be able to support the implementation of data strategies, collaborating with internal teams to enhance the data environment and ensure alignment with business objectives. The Data Enablement team is pivotal in empowering our business to effectively harness data for informed decision-making and innovation.

The MI & Data Enablement analyst will carry out data tasks, supporting operational controls and reporting, and documenting data usage in line with data strategy and governance. They will work on continuous improvement of the data environment, monitor KPIs/KRIs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute data tasks to facilitate MI creation, regulatory reporting, and other data-related activities essential for decision-making processes.
  • Support the documentation of the utilisation of data, including mapping calculated metrics and MI, ensuring future auditability and alignment with strategy & governance.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/Key Risk Indicators (KRIs): monitor KPIs/KRIs to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all products and functions.
  • Maintaining high standards of data quality by implementing data governance practices, data cleansing techniques, and data validation processes.
  • Support change management initiatives related to data processes, tools, and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption across the organization.

Business:

  • Understanding of the Financial Services sector with specific focus on Banking.
  • Knowledge of how data enablement initiatives align with the bank's overall business objectives and strategic priorities.

People:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with other business units.
  • Can prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills And Experience:

  • Degree/Advanced degree and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in the financial services sector.
  • Track record of providing data to deliver on a project objective.
  • Experience of technical analytical platforms –ideally Python or SQL as well as MS Excel.
