Job Description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wrexham County Borough Council. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support the development of a child with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of a child with additional learning needs in relation to their personal, self-care, communication, and educational engagement and development.
  • Deliver specific programs and make necessary adaptations to the curriculum to enable access to learning within a mainstream setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and senior staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to the child in a classroom or outside setting as required.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance and EWC registration.
  • Ability to work in a mainstream setting with a child who has Down's Syndrome.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
