About the Apprenticeship

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers and contribute to the educational and social development of children in and out of the classroom.
  • Work closely with pupils who require additional support, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assist with creating engaging displays and preparing resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Help children who need extra support to complete tasks and assignments.
  • Understand and adhere to safeguarding and behavior policies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Support a teacher in various roles within the classroom, including lesson planning and delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with children, teachers, and other staff members.

Requirements

  • Minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with children and adults.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and organize your own time.
  • Reliable, smart appearance, and a professional attitude.
  • A level of maturity and ability to work in a school environment.
  • Ambitious and hardworking, with a desire to be a positive role model for young people.

Training and Qualifications

  • Level 2/3 Supporting, Teaching and Learning qualification.
  • Training and support provided by Achieve More Training Ltd.
