About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a teaching assistant in a secondary school setting. As a member of our team, you will support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Support pupils with their numeracy and literacy skills
  • Assist with creating displays and preparing resources
  • Help children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Understand and implement safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements

  • Minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Math's
  • Ability to work with children aged 11 to 16 years
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Training and Qualification

As a teaching assistant apprentice, you will gain a Level 2/3 Supporting, Teaching and Learning qualification. You will also receive training and support to help you develop your skills and knowledge in this role.

Working Hours and Term Time Only

This apprenticeship is a 30-hour per week, term-time only position. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
