The Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic directionto the Engineering function within KP Ashby through strongleadership and alignment with KP's Intersnack Work System (IWS).The IWS approach is a model of continuous improvement and one wayof working, and the Engineering Manager will lead the site throughthe Engineering (Progressive Maintenance) and Project (InitiativeManagement) pillars of IWS. The delivery of the site's capitalprogram is critical for the role, working cross functionally withthe Central Project Team and other departmental teams as required.The role also forms an integral part of the site Leadership Teamsupporting the General Manager in strategically important decisionsand direction setting.

As Site Engineering Manager, some of yourkey responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all relevant Statutory Compliance iscurrent, recorded, updated and maintained for thesite
  • Leads the PM and IM Pillars at site anddevelops master/90-day plans to address losses and buildcapability
  • To maximise availability of allmechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvementand improve equipment efficiencies and reduce costs throughinitiatives such as MP&S and BDE
  • Be responsible for capital investmentprojects (new and ongoing) working in conjunction with site andcentral teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, to thecorrect quality, on-time and to budget
  • Designand manage engineering budgets for the site, both capital andoperational
  • To ensure adequate resources,equipment and people, are in place to meet operationalneeds
  • Development of an annual engineeringstrategy which is aligned to the site CBN and KP strategywheel

Key knowledge, skills andexperience:

  • Extensiveexperience as a Site EngineeringManager
  • Experience of working in the foodindustry
  • Demonstrated project managementexperience with large scale capitals.
  • Knowledgeand experience of PPM strategy, improvement techniques andtools
  • Strong mechanical or electricalengineering background - degree level/Chartered Engineerstatus
  • FMCG background - preferablymaintenance and projects experience
  • Experiencemanaging a large site
