Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that all expenses are in line with the approved budget.
- Coordinate and manage the activities of site staff, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
- Ensure that all site staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all work is being carried out in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or risks to the site manager or other relevant personnel.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve site efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure that all materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress charts, and other relevant documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement changes to improve site operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
