Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager for a 6-month interim role within the NHS. Based in Redditch, you will work on-site up to 2 days per week, managing procurement categories to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing. Your expertise will be crucial in driving value and improving procurement processes within the healthcare setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage specific procurement categories, ensuring compliance and value for money.
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with NHS guidelines.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts effectively.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in procurement, ideally within the NHS or public sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Redditch up to 2 days per week.
