About the Role

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth within your designated product categories. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that maximize gross margin, leveraging all available channels and levers to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category plans that capture market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer teams to ensure customer-centric decision-making
  • Conduct regular analysis of range performance to optimize product offerings and pricing strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and drive business growth
  • Lead and motivate direct reports to achieve business objectives and develop their skills

Requirements

  • Proven experience in category management, procurement, or buying
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and drive fact-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
