The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Employer Engagement Consultantto work with and develop Employer Engagement Consultants (EEC’s) within the sales team, ensuring high levels of performance, quality and compliance.

We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.

Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health, and debt.

A driving licence is required with use of your own vehicle.

This is a fixed term contract until31/08/2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of EEC’s, completing balanced scorecards and presenting those to the Sales Management team with recommended actions for improvement or sharing of best practice.
  • Audit staff compliance including: the recording and reporting of activity and outputs; adherence to agreed processes; and data storage and management.
  • Undertake staff observations against an agreed set of quality criteria, producing observation reports including scoring and recommendations for further improvement.
  • Develop and maintain output-driven relationships with external partners and stakeholders where their services are complimentary and will support improved outcomes for customers.
  • Deliver training and development programmes for new and existing EEC’s.
  • The Lead EEC may also need to work to a reduced personal target for job placings (compared to EEC targets):
    • Identify and engage with employers/sectors which present appropriate job opportunities for GC candidates.
    • Develop and manage key employer accounts, ensuring repeat business, cross and up-selling.
    • Secure recruitment business/assignments.

About You

  • Strong proven performance within an employer sales role.
  • Must have previous sales experience.
  • Flexible approach to work including willingness to travel and working occasional unsociable hours.
  • Ability to mentor new staff and facilitate appropriate training and development.

Skills Required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with employers, maximising sales as well as managing expectations and dealing with complaints.
  • Networking and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Work to challenging targets and KPIs.
  • Ability to make contact with decision makers, identifying business opportunities and closing contracts.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Employment and Skills Sector and the customer base worked with.
  • Practice of coaching colleagues in the Employer Engagement Consultant role / Business Advisor role or other equivalent role.
