We are seeking a proactive and organized Business Development Manager to join our sales team and drive our growth by reconnecting with former clients and introducing our services to new prospects.
Job Summary:
As a Business Development Manager, you will ensure the Sales Manager’s diary is always filled and maintain all aspects of the ACT database related to current and future accounts. Your role will be crucial in re-engaging with lost clients, reaching out to potential clients, and managing sales enquiries and quotations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
* Reconnect with lost clients to regain business, focusing on clients with new FM companies or changes in ownership.
* Introduce our services to passive fire and facility management companies to explore potential support opportunities.
* Follow up with individuals who have downloaded our damper guide or viewed our fire compartmentation/stopping webinars.
* Maintain strong relationships with damper FM approved contractors and ensure quick turnaround for quotations.
* Provide weekly and monthly sales summaries to the Sales Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Sales Administration:
* Handle enquiries via phone, web, or approved contractors for all divisions.
* Schedule surveys for KDC & GREX in the most cost-efficient way and confirm survey details with clients.
* Send out quotations for damper testing enquiries and manage the enquiries spreadsheet and surveyor diaries.
* Ensure the timely filing and tracking of all quotes, and update the ACT database for the operations team.
* Manage new client accounts and ensure they are creditworthy via Credit Safe.
* Follow up on damper and remedial quotes as part of daily/weekly tasks.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a business development or sales administration role, preferably within the facility management or fire protection industry.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using ACT database or similar CRM systems.
* Familiarity with credit checking and client account management.
