As a Control Centre Team Leader, youll help direct the day-to-day operations and success of the control centre by providing efficient and valued leadership to a team of Control Centre Coordinators at our Head Office in Barnsley. Youll play a key role in safeguarding public health, protecting the environment and maintaining the reliability and sustainability of water supply systems. As a confident communicator, youll easily forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient resource allocation, timely project execution and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as adherence to our SLAs. Your passion for delivering excellent customer service will ensure each interaction results in a positive customer experience, no matter how small or complex the initial contact. In this role, youll manage planned and reactive activities to make sure theyre undertaken at the right time to reduce impact to both customers and assets. What Youll Be Doing:
  • Leading a team as a front-line resource with responsibility for day-to-day management, monthly 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Lead a culture of health and safety behaviour and contribute to our health and safety culture
  • Managing key stakeholders within internal teams, external agencies, contractors and other key customers
  • Supporting and developing your team staff through a fair and encouraging culture to ensure SLAs are met or exceeded
  • Assessing and supporting incident management to maintain H&S standards and contribute to timely and positive resolutions
  • Managing all reactive, pre-planned and ad-hoc work allocation for your business area
  • Tracking and monitoring of performance against key metrics, regular reporting and by identifying improvement opportunities
  • Responsibility of Jeopardy Managing ensuring that you are proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to provide a continues and reliable water supply for customers
What Youll Bring:
  • Experience of working collaboratively and cross-functionally to drive performance to meet targets

  • A high degree of IT Literacy to enable MS Office usage, as well as bespoke IT software packages

About you:
Due to the nature of sites we work on, the successful candidate must meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes, but is not limited to, the following:
