Chief Executive Officer
HETAS and Woodsure are not for profit organisations within Cleaner Safer Group, dedicated to promoting cleaner, safer environments by reducing particulate and carbon emissions. They work collaboratively with government, industry experts and innovators to provide expert advice, training and evidence-based information. Their mission is to set industry benchmarks for best practices, increase the use of cleaner fuels and efficient appliances, and influence legislation to improve air quality and public health.
Role Overview: They are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead their organisation into its next phase of growth and impact.
The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader, passionate about environmental sustainability, and equipped with the skills and experience to influence government policy, lead a senior leadership team and set and drive the organisation's strategic vision forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for Cleaner Safer Group, in alignment with their mission and objectives. Lead and empower the senior leadership team to execute strategic initiatives and drive organisational growth. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence throughout the organisation.
Government Relations and Policy Influence: Build and maintain effective relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers and regulatory bodies. Advocate for policies and regulations that promote cleaner fuels, efficient appliances and environmental sustainability. Utilise expertise and influence to shape national and EU standards for appliances, fuels and installation practices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent HETAS Ltd as a trusted expert advisor and influential presenter, both internally and externally.
Engage with industry stakeholders, businesses, consumers and regulators to provide up-to-date advice and promote best practices. Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to promote Cleaner Safer Group's mission and objectives. Operational Excellence: Through the senior leadership team, oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services and programs. Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics and organisational impact to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within a related industry or non-profit organisation. Proven track record of influencing government policy and regulatory frameworks. Strong understanding of environmental sustainability issues and a passion for driving positive change. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and deliver results. Collaborative leadership style with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
