The role

Southwark Council's Environment, Neighbourhoods and Growth department is recruiting a Project Manager to the Programmes and Change team.

The Programmes and Change team is a Programme Management Office (PMO), consisting of a central team of project professionals, working flexibly across the department to support meaningful change and realise departmental and corporate priorities.

The team works on the department's key priority programmes including Southwark Stands Together, the Service Review Framework, Streets For People, and Violence Against Women and Girls..

This role will be responsible for leading a range of projects in the department across all our business areas including environmental services, culture, leisure, parks, climate change, community safety and community engagement. You will have a varied portfolio of work, delivering with teams who need expert project management support to improve their services.

About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about good project management and has the skills and experience to use a range of project management techniques across a broad portfolio of work.

You will be a natural collaborator and work well with a range of stakeholders at all levels to deliver change. Through your career you will have shown how you can have real impact using both tried and tested methods, but also willing to problem solve and innovate to get the best results. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and have the ability to think critically and innovatively.
