About the Role

Camberwell After School Project is seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Strategic HR Partner. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the charity's HR strategy and ensuring the effective management of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Strategy Development: Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the charity's overall goals and objectives.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist the CEO in the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, promoting vacancies, and supporting the interview process.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver a comprehensive training and development program for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Provide guidance on performance management procedures to ensure that employees are managed effectively and that the charity is compliant with relevant employment laws.
  • Employee Relations: Offer advice on employee relations issues, including sickness absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
  • Policy Development: Assist the CEO in reviewing and developing policies and procedures to ensure that the charity is compliant with relevant employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Senior HR Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, with a proven track record of success in a strategic and operational capacity.
  • Charity Sector Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the UK charity sector and the need for good governance.
  • HR Policy and Practice: A comprehensive knowledge of HR policy and practice, including employment law and regulations.
  • People Management: Experience of people management, including recruitment, training, and development.
  • Communication and Influencing: Excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills.
