The successful candidate will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the civil work package
Serve as the main point of contact for package suppliers
Provide weekly updates to the Engineering Project Manager
Prepare monthly status reports
Attend and lead face-to-face meetings and site visits
Chair package workstream meetings and ensure actions are completed
Maintain project documentation according to the project file structure
Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Technical, Environmental, Risk & Compliance)
Provide necessary information to external consultants (Design Team, Project Validation, Energy Efficient Design, Project Controls)
Coordinate with other package leads to ensure smooth project deliveryHealth & Safety:
Prioritise health and safety during design and implementation phases
Ensure suppliers update Engineering H&S statistics
Participate in and support HAZOP, HAZDEM sessions
Lead by example in overall project H&S strategy
Conduct health and safety audits
Ensure Principal Contractor performs 3rd party auditsDesign:
Assist in developing high-level concept designs
Review and verify consultant designs against project URS
Ensure designs comply with GRMS Standards
Facilitate coordination between consultant teams and package suppliers
Review designs with H&S and Compliance Teams (PUWER, DSEAR)
Assist in Project Validation for specific packages
Ensure necessary Statutory Consents are obtainedCost Management:
Agree on and manage the budget for the civils package
Update budget status monthly
Raise and manage supplier Purchase Orders
Provide package cost information for Asset Capitalisation
Perform Value Engineering as neededProcurement:
Develop package procurement strategy
Collaborate with procurement team
Support the tendering process
Issue technical information to suppliers for tendering
Review technical tender returns
Assist in supplier assessment and appointment
Ensure building contracts are in place before raising Purchase OrdersProgramme Management:
Assist in developing the master integrated programme
Maintain and track the programme for the relevant packageScope Changes & Variations:
Manage any contract variations for the package
Highlight scope changes to the Project Manager
Follow processes for variations and scope changesQuality Management:
Ensure design quality aligns with Spirit Character Quality
Work with Technical Team to maintain product character
Collaborate with Operations and Brand teams on building aestheticsImplementation:
Visit the site weekly during implementation
Monitor progress against the programme
Support package commissioning
Ensure suppliers have necessary information for contracted works
Attend FAT and pre-delivery inspections as needed
Assist in the snagging process, including reviewing, adding, and closing off snagsSkills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in Health & Safety and CDM Regulations 2017
Strong project, cost, and schedule management skills
Experience managing scope changes
Background in the Distilling/Brewing industry
Coordination of design teams
Excellent communication abilities
Valid driver's license for site visitsEducational Requirements:
Degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering
AMP or equivalent Project Management qualification
NEBOSH or H&S qualificationAdditional Skills:
