Project Engineering Specialist

Escape Recruitment is in search of a talented Project Engineering Specialist to become a vital part of our client's team. This role involves overseeing various aspects of project execution and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with both internal and external parties to facilitate project success.
  • Project Updates: Deliver regular progress reports to the Engineering Project Manager.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive project records in accordance with established file structures.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including Operations, Technical, Environmental, and Risk & Compliance.
  • External Consultant Liaison: Provide essential information to external teams, including Design, Project Validation, and Project Controls.
  • Package Coordination: Collaborate with other leads to ensure seamless project execution.
Health & Safety:
  • Emphasize health and safety throughout the design and execution phases.
  • Ensure that suppliers provide updated Engineering Health & Safety statistics.
  • Exemplify best practices in the overall project health and safety strategy.
  • Audit Oversight: Ensure that the Principal Contractor conducts third-party audits.
Design Review:
  • Evaluate and confirm consultant designs against project specifications.
  • Assist in validating project components for specific packages.
  • Provide cost estimates for asset capitalization.
  • Value Engineering: Implement value engineering practices as necessary.
Procurement:
  • Ensure that contractual agreements are established prior to issuing Purchase Orders.
Programme Management:
  • Identify and communicate scope changes to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure design quality meets organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Brand teams to align building aesthetics.
Implementation:
  • Conduct weekly site visits during the implementation phase.
  • Support the commissioning of project packages.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in project, cost, and schedule management.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for site visits.
Educational Qualifications:
  • A degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Project Management qualification such as AMP or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH or other Health & Safety qualifications are preferred.
Additional Skills:
  • Proficient in managing project documentation.
