Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join the team. This role involves working closely with a specific child with additional needs, supporting their learning and development on a one-to-one basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the child access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a child with specific learning needs, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum and school activities.
Implement personalized learning plans and strategies, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child's individual needs are met.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the teacher and SENCo.
Support the child's social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.Key Requirements:
Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 support role, is highly desirable.
A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A positive attitude, with a passion for helping children achieve their potential.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.What We Offer:
