About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to join our team at Solo Support Services. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs, including cerebral palsy, severe dystonia, and a profound learning disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to ensure the individual's safety and well-being
  • Assist with personal care, including PEG feeding, medication, and mobility
  • Communicate effectively with the individual using their preferred methods
  • Participate in meetings, shadowing, and training to develop a deep understanding of the individual's needs
  • Work collaboratively with the existing support team to ensure seamless care
Requirements
  • Calm, friendly, and flexible approach
  • Ability to remain unphased by the individual's health needs and situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the individual's unique needs
