Salary: £83-£100 per day, based on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with additional needs, and assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and tailored lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD).
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and tailored lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote learning strategies.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge or experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly ASD, is highly desirable.
  • A caring and patient attitude, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
