About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join our team at King's Wood Primary School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, developing and implementing personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, preparing materials, and supporting students with their learning tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with language and literacy difficulties.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school.
  • Knowledge of Read Write Inc and PIXL would be an advantage, as well as experience working with children with language and literacy difficulties.
