Head of Strategic Housing and Development

You will work in collaboration corporately and with key partners and stakeholders, locally and regionally.
Making full use of your extensive managerial and strategy experience you will provide advice, guidance and support on corporate policy and strategy development. You will be expected to ensure that national and regional changes are translated into the local context and assessed in terms of the impacts and opportunities. A key function of your role will be working to ensure activity serves to optimise the use of the land and property assets.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record within a Local Authority setting. We need a confident leader with the ability to implement change and motivate and guide those around you. You will need to have an excellent knowledge of Local Government democratic processes, an understanding of the political context of work in this field and a solid knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks and Government policy agendas.
