A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Consultant to join a privately owned leasing and fleet management company in Basildon, Essex.

The person:
Candidates will only be considered with previous sales and business development experience.
* We are looking for a driven and passionate individual to join a growing sales team.
* You’ll need to be ambitious and a proven new business hunter with B2B sales experience.
* Sales background and business development (preferably B2B sales) is essential. Automotive experience would also assist the successful candidate.but it is not essential.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills are key – written and verbal.
* Ability to engage with customers face to face and via the telephone.
* Strong time management and day to day organisational skills.
* A passion and a track record for constantly delivering results.
* Tenacious and competitive.
* The ability to form long term business relationships.
* Well-developed business acumen and understanding of sales processes.
* Professional and well presented.
About the Role:
An opportunity to join an established sales team in Basildon, Essex. You can expect ongoing support and development in your role and for the successful individual the opportunity to earn a generous commission package.
Day to day duties will include:
* Actively and tenaciously seek out new business opportunities via sales, cold calling, networking events and identifying opportunities.
* Prospecting – Cold calling by phone, face to face, email, and other sales channels with a view to creating sales appointments and closing opportunities.
* Visiting prospects to promote vehicle contract hire solutions.
* Preparing sales proposals and presenting to prospects.
* Generate sales quotations and follow up all opportunities in a quick and professional manner. Maintain a full record of activity via CRM system.
* Work closely with teams across various departments, i.e., Administration and Marketing to understand the day to day running of our business as well our sales processes.
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities, the job holder is required to perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the manager from time to time.
A generous commission structure along with exceptional opportunities for progression is available for the right candidate.
You will be working full-time on a permanent basis (Monday- Friday 9am-5pm) and will be met with a competitive salary and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
