Job Description
The company is seeking an experienced professional to lead its cybersecurity and IT functions. The Global Head of Cybersecurity and IT will be responsible for developing and executing the firm’s cybersecurity strategy while closely collaborating with the Engineering and Product teams. This role will also oversee the company’s security policies, audit procedures, and IT requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Strategy: Define and implement the company’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Develop and maintain an information security management framework, including all related policies and processes.
- Accreditations: Obtain and maintain industry certifications such as SOC2 and ISO27001.
- Audit Leadership: Manage IT security audits, oversee end-to-end audit cycles, and ensure continuous improvement by addressing gaps identified during audits.
- Secure Software Development: Design and implement security controls within the software development lifecycle and promote security best practices within the Engineering team.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Develop and deliver monitoring systems to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Incident Management: Lead the company’s security incident management and response procedures to protect IT assets and uphold the company’s reputation.
- Vendor Management: Manage security solutions and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Security Culture: Promote a culture of security by design and implement an education and awareness strategy for the organization.
- Policy Integration: Integrate security plans and policies with the company’s business processes.
- Training & Awareness: Oversee the security training program, ensuring all employees are compliant with security standards.
- Cyber Intelligence: Develop and monitor strategies to strengthen the company’s security posture and understand threat environments.
- IT Management: Oversee the company’s IT requirements and provide leadership to the SecOps and IT teams.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO27001, and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent.
- Experience with public cloud providers, software delivery lifecycle, GitOps, or CI/CD tooling.
- Strong background in threat analysis, risk assessment, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Solid experience in information security and understanding of ISMS.
- Knowledge of data privacy and protection legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks effectively and drive process improvement.
