We are on the lookout for Female Complex Needs Support Workers who are calm, patient, and emotionally resilient. You will have experience working with people who have complex health needs, physical disabilities and various methods of communication and be part of a fantastic multi-disciplinary team, who pride themselves on providing world-leading nursing care. You will be dedicated, and willing to undertake training personalised to the people we support. You will be reliable, proactive and have a positive and consistent approach to assisting the people we support, helping them make choices and express their individuality.
Furthermore, as Complex Needs Support Worker you will be responsible for: 
Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation and administration.
You will get to know the people you will support and take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the them.
You will safeguard and promote the welfare of the people you will support.
You will promote the people you support to make choices and express their individuality.
To work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure person-centred care for people we support.
You will be able to take direction from the multi-disciplinary team.
You will ensure good working practice including understanding and awareness of health and safety.
You will assist with all tasks necessary to ensure positive life experiences.
Develop and contribute to the maintenance of records and support plans and function as a key worker when required.
You will support our people to maintain a clean-living environment appropriate to meet their individual needs.
You will participate in regular and ongoing training relevant to everyone's needs.
You will work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values.We are looking for someone who can commit to 37.5 hours per week and be willing to work flexibly on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Who will you be supporting?
Heather House is a nursing home for 16 young people living with severe, complex neurological disabilities and life limiting conditions, such as CLN3 (Juvenile Batten Disease), Fox G1, Rett’s, Lennox Gastaut and Alternating Hemiplegia in childhood (AHC).
Working at Heather House is not like any other job. The people we support, and their families become an important part of your life and you share their journey with them.
Many staff have worked here for over ten years and when asked why, they say that Heather House is part of their heart, and they love seeing people smiling and engaging in their everyday activities. Working with the young people that we support here is so rewarding and a humbling experience that you do not get in many places of work.
Support Workers are trained to a high standard in the delivery of care and support and are encouraged to develop their skills and progress their own careers, including nurse training.
Most of the people living at Heather House need a high level of support on a 2:1 basis. Great communication skills and enthusiasm is essential for this role.
