If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant.
About Us: (Insert School/Organization Name) is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in the importance of personalized education, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, including those with special educational needs.
The Role: As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to support students with a range of learning difficulties or disabilities. Your role will involve:
Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can participate fully in classroom activities.
Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies to support student progress and development.
Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources, adapting them to suit the individual needs of students.
Promoting inclusion and fostering positive relationships between students, teachers, and parents/carers.
Observing and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the review of support strategies.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates that are offered will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Our working opportunities include temporary positions, permanent contracts and ad-hoc supply.
Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
