Role Overview:
We are in search of a compassionate and dedicated Educational Support Assistant to become an integral part of our team on a temp-to-perm basis. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the educational and emotional growth of our students, collaborating closely with teaching staff to create a stimulating and supportive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individualized and small group assistance to students with various additional needs.
  • Support the execution of personalized education plans (PEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Encourage a safe and welcoming classroom environment that fosters student engagement and well-being.
  • Assist students in developing their social, emotional, and academic competencies.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, and other support personnel to ensure a unified educational experience.
  • Help prepare educational materials and resources tailored to the specific requirements of students.
  • Track and document student progress, providing constructive feedback to the educational team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children or young adults in an educational context, particularly within specialized settings.
  • A patient, empathetic, and encouraging demeanor when supporting students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A strong commitment to fostering inclusion and equality in the classroom.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are preferred but not mandatory.
