Learning Support Year Leader - About Us:
Halow project is a vibrant, growing charity based in Guildford and Woking that provides opportunities and support for over 200 young adults with learning disabilities to access social activities, educational programmes and supported living accommodation in south-west Surrey and beyond.
The role: Learning Support Year Leader (internally referred to as Building Futures Year Leader) on our community informal learning programme, Building Futures.
Learning Support Year Leader - Role responsibilities:
* Responsible for leading and guiding a year group of up to 10 young adults, with the support of a Building Futures Project Worker.
* Working with the adults to set and achieve the targets, goals and aspirations they identify during their involvement in our programme.
* Delivering the programme content out in the community, there will be a mix of indoor and outdoor delivery at multiple community locations.
Learning Support Year Leader - Requirements:
* Experience of leading group sessions both in developing content and delivery.
* A natural and efficient organiser.
* A team player and self-starter with a can-do positive attitude.
* A good communicator who can proactively communicate with individuals within our network, the adults supported and their families and/ or support network.
* Willing to undertake a DBS check and provide suitable references.
* Aged 18 and above.
