Overview:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic team player to join a school finance team, taking a key role in a busy finance office whilst also working closely with other departments throughout the organisation.
The preferred candidate will have experience of working in a purchase ledger role and a busy office environment. They will have knowledge and experience of using administrative and accounting software, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Duties
* Processing purchase invoices into the finance system
* Collation of budget holder approvals for invoices
* Weekly payment runs
* Filing purchase ledger documents to ensure a complete audit trail.
* Monitoring and reconciling monthly supplier statements.
* Assisting the wider finance team.
* Daily account reconciliations and allocation of cash receipts.
* Ensuring cash and cheque banking is carried out regularly.
* Updating date for monthly cash flow files.
* Daily reconciliation of the online receipts system.
* Assisting with petty cash.
* Ad hoc reporting
* Assisting with audit preparation.
