About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a Specialism in SEMH to join our passionate team. This is a full-time position available immediately, as we are replacing a valued team member who is moving on to new adventures.
As a key player in our supportive learning environment, you will work closely with our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, primarily supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The class size is manageable, with approximately 10-15 students, allowing for individualised attention and tailored support. You will be instrumental in shaping the educational experiences of children who need extra support, making a real difference in their lives.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications (Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are advantageous.
• Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assisting teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to educators.
