About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the position available immediately due to a team expansion aimed at enhancing our support for students with SEMH needs. Offering a salary of £85-£100 per day, this full-time role involves working with small, tailored groups of students who require high levels of individual support. The role stands out as you will play a crucial part in a supportive and inclusive environment, working closely with students to implement specialized SEMH strategies that foster their learning and development, ensuring they thrive in a nurturing educational setting.

Application Requirements:

• Proven experience in supporting students with SEMH needs and a solid understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.

• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or a related field (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. Patience, empathy, and resilience are essential.

• A dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, implementing individualised learning plans.

• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and deliver effective support strategies.

• Track and report on students’ progress, behavior, and emotional well-being, adjusting support as needed.

• Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
