As a 2-form entry school, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere where every child feels valued and understood. • Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential. Experience in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education or childcare is preferred but not mandatory. We value experience and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children above all else.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment: A dedicated individual who is ready to contribute to the holistic development of our pupils and work collaboratively with our team to provide the best possible support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Support the class teacher in managing behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in interventions aimed at improving students’ social, emotional, and mental health.
Perks and Benefits: As part of our team, you’ll enjoy access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, a supportive environment where your contributions are valued and your wellbeing is prioritised, and the chance to work alongside a collaborative team of like-minded professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students. You’ll also benefit from our well-resourced school with modern facilities that enhance both the learning and working environment, all within a convenient Islington location with excellent transport links and a vibrant local community.
