About the role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We invite you to become a vital part of our dedicated team at a vibrant primary school in Islington, London, where you can nurture children’s emotional well-being and academic growth. As a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in SEMH needs, you will play a crucial role in supporting students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Your empathetic nature and dedication to fostering emotional resilience will help create a positive and safe learning environment for our students. You will work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualised support plans, focusing on social skills, emotional regulation, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in both individual and group settings.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Foster positive relationships with students, helping them develop self-esteem and confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to create and monitor effective learning plans.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
