About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, specialising in supporting students with challenging behaviours. This full-time, long-term role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our students, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Application Requirements:
• Experience: Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviours in a school setting is essential. Experience in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Proven ability to implement behaviour management techniques effectively.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support for Challenging Behaviours: Work closely with students exhibiting challenging behaviours, using specialized strategies and techniques to manage and improve their conduct.
• Individual and Group Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
• Collaboration with Staff: Work alongside teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management plans and educational interventions.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on student progress, behaviour patterns, and any issues, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
