About the role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives, particularly those with special educational needs?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join our friendly team in Finchley. If you have a nurturing spirit, a patient mindset, and a desire to help every child succeed, then this role might be the perfect fit for you
In this role, you will be supporting students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who face challenges with their behaviour, helping them navigate their learning journey with confidence and care.
You’ll work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2024.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviours, preferably in a school setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children with challenging behaviours in both classroom settings and one-on-one.
• Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to each child’s needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide holistic support to students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive.
• Assist with personal care when necessary.
