Application Requirements:

• Experience:

Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.

• Knowledge:

Strong understanding of ASD and related SEN practices, as well as knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.

• Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

• Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential if you have the right experience and attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
• Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Encourage: Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Monitor: Track student progress and adapt support strategies as needed to ensure continuous development.
• Communicate: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress.
