The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is home to over four hundred researchers working across a broad range of disciplines that extend from Economics to Egyptology.
The breadth of our expertise across Humanities and Social Science disciplines creates exciting opportunities for genuinely original, innovative research that brings together diverse disciplines to make a positive impact on the world.
The HSS Research and Impact Team is responsible for supporting academic research and impact activity, including PGR, by identifying and responding to opportunities to achieve objectives in support of the institutional Research and Impact Strategy.
We work with Research Leads within the Schools and across the institution with central areas, including those within the Research Partnerships and Innovation Directorate, External Relations, and Libraries, Museums and Galleries, to facilitate and develop academic research and impact activity.
You will be proactive in seeking opportunities to develop and enhance the service provided to ULMS academic staff, developing extensive working contacts within the Faculty and across the University to identify and share best practice, assisting with the delivery of impact training You will be diligent in ensuring that the School follows University procedures and policies relating to REF and external funding activities.
You will be a primary point of contact for staff and external stakeholders dealing with research and impact queries in a timely and effective manner and provide excellent customer service.
You will be proactive, flexible and confident, liaising with colleagues at all levels across the institution, while working to support the agendas of the ULMS Associate Dean Research and Deputy Associate Dean Research to support the School¿s objectives regarding support for its research related activities.
Co-located in both the Faculty and ULMS teams, the role holder will report to the Faculty¿s REF and Impact Manager as well as working under the direction of the ULMS Doctoral and Research Team Leader.
