The Voice Project is a participation and engagement Project that is passionate about ensuring the voices of children, young people and families are embedded into service delivery, design and future planning of provision.

Main Responsibilities
The Consultation and Engagement Co-ordinator will be required to plan, deliver and evaluate engagement programmes and events.

The role will ensure the voice and views of children, young people and families across Staffordshire, influence to help shape and improve services.

This role will be required to work with a wide variety of stakeholders supporting Children's service to:

  • Understand the needs of Staffordshire children, young people and their families and translate those needs into definable outcomes
  • Support processes and outcomes.
  • Create the methodology and tools for the completion of the views of children, young people and families
  • Produce regular reports across the children and families system
  • Be a strong advocate for the views of children, young people and families


You will work alongside fellow Engagement Co-ordinators, will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering a range of consultation activities/events across Families and Communities including arranging and facilitating various tasks in relation to the work of the Project.


You will be required to build professional relationships, develop partnership networks, gain an understanding of families who are vulnerable and help to advocate their views using consultation methods suitable for the needs of those involved.


You will:

  • Possess appropriate Level 3 qualification or relevant experience
  • Have experience of working with children, young people, parents/carers is essential for this role.
This role has a countywide remit so travelling across Staffordshire will be expected.

The role will also include regular evening and occasional weekend working.
