Our Staffordshire Carers team are looking for a full time team leader, responsible for coordinating all participation and engagement activities across the county, including delivering training and coordinating break opportunities for young carers in the form of activities.


The successful applicant will benefit from joining a busy and dynamic team, in a truly hybrid working environment (_between home and the community of Staffordshire_), and will be provided with a thorough induction training programme.

The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate:

  • Delivery of high quality training
  • the ability to plan and co-ordinate participation and engagement, community-based activities and groups for children and young people
  • managing, supervising and supporting staff, students and/or volunteers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Key duties will include:
  • Providing line management, supervision and support to the Participation & Engagement Team.
  • Coordinate and deliver Carers Awareness Training to a range of audiences including education and health settings supporting understanding and recognition of the caring role including building a network of Carers Champions
  • Responsible for managing young carer activities in line with annual budgets including management of delivery partners.
  • Coordinate the delivery of a range of support services designed to meet Carer needs i.e. Carer groups, social activities and events, skill development/learning opportunities and therapies.
