Hours:1950 hours per year (full-time), on average 37.5 hours per week. Working 5 out of 7 days,
weekday and regular weekend working will be required as well as bank holidays and school holidays. Shifts will be worked between 8am and 5pm.


This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.


Salary:
£23,166 per year. This is the salary from 1st April 2024.

Duration:
Permanent contract.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at Shugborough Estate (Milford, Stafford, ST17 0XB), home to the Anson family since 1624.

The estate includes a Georgian mansion house, Grade 1 listed parkland, walled garden and working farm. It also features a café and tea room, second-hand bookshop and two retail outlets.

Shugborough is supported by a passionate, engaging and hardworking team of staff and volunteers who love what they do and love sharing it with visitors.

What you'll be doing:

As a Team Leader, you'll be giving day-to-day support to your team, to make sure they're consistently giving great service to everyone who comes to the café.

This is a busy, lively place to work, so you'll need to be adaptable.

Your focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people and serving them food and drink.

Crucial to this role will be your love of working with people, your positive 'can-do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service.


Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate, and that the food is looking good.

At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.


You'll also be supervising the induction and training of colleagues, to help build a team that's dedicated to great service and to giving people a day to remember.


We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
