Job Purpose
- To maximise sales and provide excellent customer service at all times. Following all Company standards in relation to customer service.
- Represent Champion to the highest standards in all daily activities.
- To take responsibility for the Store in the absence of a Manager. Following all company procedures and ensuring that the business expectations are met.
- Where appropriate, support the Management team to ensure that merchandising objectives, operating standards, reports and controllable costs are managed effectively.
Key Result Areas
- To maximise every selling opportunity to achieve store and individual sales and KPI indicators.
- To provide excellent levels of customer care, surpassing customer expectations at every opportunity.
- Confident in identifying customers' needs and in answering all product related enquiries.
- Provide enhanced till accountability e.g. able to process refunds and price overrides and can be relied upon to cash up when necessary.
- Able to answer queries from less experienced colleagues in response to customer enquiries.
- Recognised and deferred to by peer group as being more experienced and knowledgeable.
- Deputises for Assistant Manager when required. Aspires to the next level.
- To act as a key holder as and when required to support the needs of the business in the store.
- To act as 'buddy' to new staff members.
- To employ relevant selling techniques to achieve the above.
- To follow Company procedures and processes to maintain security of stock, customer records and cash handling.
- To adhere to brand standards of merchandise presentation and housekeeping standards.
- To ensure all customers' queries are completed efficiently and on time, maintaining accurate records of all customer requirements and following company procedures.
- To take every opportunity to capture customer data.
- To resolve customer complaints promptly and successfully by investigating problems, developing solutions and making appropriate recommendations to the store management.
- To attend and participate in all store meetings and training events as required, ensuring good communication is maintained.
- To adhere to Company policy on dress code and conduct.
- To foster a team working attitude and open to constructive feedback
Competencies and Experience
- Demonstrable success gained as a sales consultant with a recognised brand.
- Excellent communication skills both externally and at all levels in the Company, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable sales skills. Shows 'hunger' and ambition to drive through initiatives and change to achieve Company targets.
- Demonstrates an ability to plan the work of the team to achieve the Company goals.
- Successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
