An exciting opportunity has arose to undertake a Degree level apprenticeship in our Children's Social Care team.

The position is a fixed term contract for 37 hours (1 FTE) for an expected duration of 30 months beginning in January 2024.


Upon successful completion of the programme individuals are awarded a BA (Hons) Social Work degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as a Level 6 apprenticeship qualification approved by Social Work England, where it is expected individuals will progress into Newly Qualified Social Worker positions within the Council on a permanent basis.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to supporting children, young people and their families through a range of interventions designed to improve family/individual functioning.
