Social Work Manager – Practice Lead

Crewe, Cheshire East, United Kingdom NHP Full time
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced social worker to take on the role of Practice Lead and play a crucial part in supporting young people leaving care. Our charity provides expertise to local authorities to set up and manage Local House Projects (LHPs), enabling young people to transition to adulthood in a planned and supported way.

About You

We are looking for someone who is motivated and believes that with the right support, care-experienced young people can achieve great things. You will need to have a Social Work qualification, an understanding of Child development, Trauma-informed care, and Social pedagogical approaches. Additionally, you should have experience of working in a local authority social work team and managing and supervising staff.

About the Organisation

Our charity was established in 2018 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). We support local authorities in setting up Local House Projects for young people leaving care. Our initiative, co-designed with young people, aims to empower them to create and sustain homes. We have helped over 450 young people successfully move into their own homes, with no evictions or tenancy breakdowns.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent, full-time contract with a competitive salary and benefits package, including 31 days annual leave, 10% contribution to pension, and hybrid working. If you are passionate about supporting young people and have the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.
