About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities team at Cheshire East Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities and their families across Cheshire East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality social work services to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to develop and implement effective support plans that promote the well-being and inclusion of children with disabilities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide expert advice to families, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and professionals, promoting a culture of trust, respect, and open communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in social work, ensuring your practice is informed and evidence-based.

Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or awaiting registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of children and families.
  • Full driving license and access to a car, due to the rural nature of Cheshire East.
