We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated clinical pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. You will work with a team of highly specialist pharmacy staff to deliver patient-centred pharmaceutical care to paediatric & women's health patients across Barts Health.

The Women's & Children's pharmacy team are responsible for optimising patient flow, medicines safety and patient outcomes and supporting the service in managing the medicines budget and achieving best value for resource. We do this through working closely with the multidisciplinary clinical teams, service management, and wider pharmacy team and demonstrating the Trust WeCare Values.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be supporting the Service Lead Pharmacist in leading a team of staff in the delivery of high quality clinical and directorate related pharmacy services to paediatrics, in particular at the Royal London Hospital. The job description is not intended to be exhaustive, and it is likely that duties may be altered from time to time in the light of changing circumstances and after consultation with the post-holder. The post holder might be required:

To be the lead pharmacist and manage the professional, clinical and technical input to the Paediatric parenteral nutrition and paediatric specialist medicine.

To support the multidisciplinary team

To be actively involved in developing the Paediatric pharmacy service

To train and supervise junior staff in paediatric services

To be the ward pharmacist and lead development of services for paediatrics

To lead the development of pharmacy services to the paediatric specialist medicine team including gastro, POSCU, dermatology, Rheumatology
