About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Evelina London Children's Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, developing, and evaluating clinical pharmacy services to paediatric services, acting as a role model in the paediatric pharmacy field, and providing a consistently high pharmaceutical service for paediatric areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, develop, and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to paediatric services, in accordance with the objectives set by the Lead Pharmacists.
- Act as a role model in the paediatric pharmacy field, providing a consistently high pharmaceutical service for paediatric areas.
- Contribute to the monitoring of clinical pharmacy services, ensuring safe, clinically effective, and cost-efficient use of drugs in paediatric patients.
- Participate in the clinical training of ward pharmacists, identify own training needs, and maintain a portfolio of practice.
- Work autonomously, identifying and prioritizing clinical work, and evaluating the quality of own work.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Pharmacy.
- Pre-registration training.
- Specialist pharmacy knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma level or equivalent training or experience.
- Clinical experience in paediatric medicine and surgery.
- Previous experience in delivering training and education.
- Experience of multidisciplinary health services working.
- Demonstrable use of clinical audit to improve practice.
