About the Role:

  • To provide support to staff at all levels, working under direct supervision and learning on the job, in aspects of payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, company accounts and personal tax returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll learning all aspects of a payroll bureau function. Assisting with preparation of payslips and advising PAYE liabilities. Qualification of the CIPP examination through distance learning Payroll Apprenticeship and on the job training.
  • Practice Management Support all aspects of practice administration, filing of physical and electronic documents, scanning, assisting with billing and supporting the Practice Manager with fulfilment of their duties. Social media contribution.


 Trainee Accountant
  • Preparation of Financial Statements from incomplete records, bookkeeping and VAT Return preparation using a variety of software (Quickbooks, Sage, Xero etc)


 Developmental
  • Lead into ACCA (or ATT) qualification and beyond, all aspects of future study can be accommodated within reason.
  • Relevant qualification related to Accounting/Finance/Payroll
  • This is a challenging role with full client exposure. Applicants must have great communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn must be demonstrated.

£6.40 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
