About the Role

Recruitment:

  • Taking ownership of the newly implemented Applicant Tracking System (ATS) on People HR (the company's HRIS)
  • Liaising with line managers regarding new roles to be advertised
  • Start onboarding process with those who are successful
  • Assisting at recruitment shows/events (county shows, jobs fairs etc)
  • Assisting with organising and attending HFG careers evenings
  • Assisting with apprentice recruitment drive
  • Assisting with headhunting activities

Onboarding, Induction and Probation and offboarding:

  • Undertake all onboarding administration including all documentation gathering and inputting including drafting of contracts
  • Take ownership of all apprentice onboarding including liaising with Pro VQ at each stage of the process.
  • Complete all Pro VQ onboarding documentation to alleviate Service Managers
  • Coordinate apprentice travel for the group to reduce cost of individual travel every time each year group travels up to Nottingham
  • Assist HR Manager and Group Service Manager in Apprentice Induction day (for first year apprentices)
  • Meet with new starters and run through HR Induction process
  • Conducting exit interviews with all leavers and completing offboarding process

Ad Hoc Tasks:

  • Supporting with the administration in Employee Relations cases, taking notes, providing templates, support with simple investigations etc.
  • Keeping all data uploaded onto People HR up to date
  • Gathering information from People HR to provide to HR Manager for the purpose of reporting and building strategy
  • Conduct all administration in association with the work experience process
  • Become a mental health first aider to provide first aid support to staff
  • Answer daily systems and policy queries
  • Assisting with learning and development administration
  • Take ownership of coordinating the 'refer a friend' scheme'
  • Supporting on relevant HR projects
  • All other tasks as reasonably required

Skills and attributes

  • Previous HR Administration experience advantageous
  • CIPD Level 3 desirable
  • Basic understanding of employee relations processes desirable
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook diary essential
  • Previous experience of using People HR or other similar HRIS would be advantageous
  • Naturally assertive with excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Highly diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive matters confidentially
  • Ability to form effective relationships with people at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face, over the phone and in writing
